Freedom Within- a Tribute to the Master

My Spirit’s been dancing with You,
I’ve felt I was flying higher than ever before
That’s when You said
This was just the beginning

Being in love with You means freedom
I feel like a child who is only slowly coming to grips with what this even means,
It’s such a foreign concept
But once you’ve tasted of it, you just want more and more

You are Freedom to me, in its purest form
Being with You is just like inhaling the freshest, purest air there is, that makes you see things in all their grandeur and glory, how they truly are, it’s like getting addicted to smokes, you just want more and more throughout the day because they soothe you and make you feel good. And Your ‘Heavenly Smokes’ do even more, they make Your reality my reality every time I have one and our lives start merging more and more. Things around me start changing, as they take on a form that only You know of, that only You could have shown me.

You are Freedom, dancing with You is life, light and happiness
I feel like such a child when it comes to being free and you are the master of it, in fact, You are it, You are Freedom
Letting my spirit go places with You is like a feather sailing on the wind of the spirit. The feather does nothing of itself, it’s all the wind.

Being with You is even more than, as an absolute novice, taking painting classes from the most famous painter that’s ever lived; it’s more like reveling in the colors themselves, bathing in them, becoming one with them, dancing with them in perfect harmony, melding into a true masterpiece of colors as they take on a life of their own inside of you and you are just the canvas on which they perform their grand symphony.

This is what You are to me, what You do to me.

Real freedom starts within, and in turn liberates all those being held in captivity. Let’s all be freedom fighters, shall we?

Freedom

Here's one of my favorite songs

Sailing

by Rod Stewart

I am sailing, I am sailing,
home again 'cross the sea.
I am sailing, stormy waters,
to be near you, to be free.

I am flying, I am flying,
like a bird 'cross the sky.
I am flying, passing high clouds,
to be with you, to be free.

Can you hear me, can you hear me
thro' the dark night, far away,
I am dying, forever trying,
to be with you, who can say.

Can you hear me, can you hear me,
thro' the dark night far away.
I am dying, forever trying,
to be with you, who can say.

We are sailing, we are sailing,
home again 'cross the sea.
We are sailing stormy waters,
to be near you, to be free.

Oh Lord, to be near you, to be free.
Oh Lord, to be near you, to be free,
Oh Lord.

See what I mean? Life's getting better every day...at least for some of us

See what I mean?

a solid piece of advice: Marry an Aussie and you'll never have a boring moment!

Too serious.....?

Someone recently commented that my blog was rather on the serious side and asked what had happened to the fun loving me...actually, what he really had asked was whether my (usually well-hidden, at least that's what I think) German side was coming to the fore.....mmmmhhhhhhh, well.....
All I can say is: I am really pissed off about the state this world is in, excuse the language, but it truly breaks my heart and makes it ache beyond words. I guess that's what this blog is about, at least to some degree.
I love fun and really like to have a good laugh at least once a day (that's why I'm married to an Aussie) but I do find myself in a more somber mood these days. It's kinda hard for me not to think about all the atrocities that are going on in the world. I almost feel responsible to remind myself of what's going on in various places such as Palestine, Iraq, Sudan, Niger etc so I can pray and turn these feelings of hopelessness and anger into a force for good and actually change something. I feel I owe it to the people who are suffering that I don't forget about what's happening to them so they don't feel alone. And in turn, I get my eyes off myself and forget about my own, in comparison extremly petty problems that seem to constantly drag my spirit down...yep, guessed right, I am a pisces....trying hard to swim upstream, though....
When you think about it,despite our own trials, we lead such happy lives compared to the vast majority of people out there. I've watched some really good movies recently, such as " Paradise Now" about the Isreali occupation, "Sometime in April" about the genocide in Rwanda, , " Munich", "Lord of War", "Beyond Borders" (didn't like the ending, though)that really really shook me up and make me pray that I don't end up with 'compassion fatigue', accepting the misery of this world as a part of life and in turn live in blissful ignorance and complacency.
I guess, it's true, I am a serious person but I guess the answer is as always looking to Jesus, Who, as a man of sorrows, also knew how to have fun and came to earth so our joy could be full and hence made it possible for us to have light, freedom and peace.

Simple solution

Here are some wise words from a friend of mine that also come straight from my heart. Every time I watch the news or read the paper these days, I could either cry or get really really mad but since that doesn't help anybody I'd rather do something constructive....ok, here it goes:

"Life is a great cycle of cause and effect. Everyone makes choices every day, and everyone's choices affect others. The combination of everyone's choices and the effect those choices have on others make the world what it is.
Every problem can be traced to some unloving or selfish choice someone made. These things are the major cause of any problem in the world, from small arguments or quarrels up to wars and violent conflicts or even genocides-selfishness and lack of love. people either don't see how their wrong choices affect others or they don't care enough to do things differently. A simple illustration is the difference between light and darkness or the goodand the evil and how people's choices either bring them closer to the light or pull them further from it.

You may feel that the world is too messed up, that there is too much darkness, too many wrong choices have been made, that it doesn't matter much what you do, that it's hopeless. BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE, AFTER ALL THIS GLOOM, HERE COMES THE GOOD BIT NOW:

Just as every problem can be traced to a wrong decision, every solution begins with a wise and loving decision to do the right thing, the loving and unselfish thing.

a little bit of love can make a lot of difference. One act of kindness or unselfishness can start a whole chain reaction of events that will in the long run, make life a lot better for a lot of people. So don't despair because there is so much suffering and grief and wrong in the world. Instead, do what you can do make things right and encourage others to do the same.

The world won't change in a day, but you CAN make a difference if you try" (end of comment )

So let me challenge you and i guarantee you that it will work:

Do you want to make a difference in YOUR life ?Do you want to make a difference in the lives of those around you? Do you-dare I say it-want to change the world?

Jesus said: "I am the light of the world! He that comes to Me, I will never cast out".

And yes, it is as simple as that, it starts with yourself: YOU CAN INDEED CHANGE THE WORLD, BY STARTING WITH YOURSELF, as you sincerly ask Jesus to be the light of your life. You can talk to Him just as easily as you talk to your best friend. In fact, He is your best friend! Just give Him a chance, accept that He truly is the light and has the power to overcome the darkness in your life and the whole world. Let Him light your way and be free to be happy. I promise, he will help you find the KEY TO DO YOUR PART TO CHANGE THE WORLD!
